Keona Lewis is Assistant Provost at the University of Notre Dame and Assistant Professor of the Practice in the Institute for Social Concerns. Her research covers higher education, the African diaspora, ethnicity, gender, and educational outcomes, and she has led training programs on topics including conscious and unconscious bias and microaggressions. She teaches a course on the social and cultural dimensions of sport that looks at how race and identity shape who participates in sport, who has access, and how people engage with it. Before coming to Notre Dame, she was associate director of research and evaluation for diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she developed and evaluated programs for faculty, staff, and students and co-chaired the Georgia Tech Police Department Community Council.
